Vaal RiverView
La Verna is a Franciscan Retreat Centre situated along the bank of the Vaal river about 12 kilometres outside Vanderbiljpark. The centre was built in 1958 and still retains much of that traditional art in its buildings and surroundings. It provides accomodation for one day events, weekend and weeklong spiritual and social activities. It caters for all faiths and its strutures can accomodate the multiple groups simultaneously with affordable prices. The activities include school retreats, sodalities, reuinions, conventions, chapters of religious groups, youth gatherings. Braai space near swimming pool creates privacy for families and bridal showers and other activities. For those who wish to stay over night we have 40+ rooms onsuite with our fexible menu.
